Abortion
People deserve the freedom to make their own healthcare decisions and determine whether to abort pregnancies. New Hampshire Republicans have already made access to abortion illegal and criminalized doctors who provide critical, life-saving care. Republicans are working to further deny Granite Staters their right to bodily autonomy, even promoting legislation that would ban abortion at just six weeks.
I will fiercely protect and defend Granite Staters’ reproductive healthcare rights, work to codify the right to abortion at the state level, and keep politicians out of private medical decisions.
Affordable & Workforce Housing
For New Hampshire to thrive socially and economically, we need more affordable and workforce housing. New Hampshire needs at least 30,000 more homes. Republicans have blocked legislation that would encourage municipalities and developers from creating affordable and workforce housing that our families and businesses need.
I will vote for legislation that incentivizes new and responsible development.
Education
Our children deserve a premier education that exposes them to diverse perspectives, teaches them how to think analytically, and prepares them for the future. Sadly, Republicans are stripping funding from our public schools, restricting the ability of teachers to do their jobs, and threatening local autonomy. I will support funding public schools and supporting teachers so that Hampton children - and all New Hampshire children - can receive a world-class public education.
LGBTQIA Rights
Granite Staters know that everyone deserves equal rights. Republicans are seeking to strip people of their essential liberties based solely on their identities. I will never support any legislation that seeks to punish people for immutable characteristics. I will always support essential protections for marginalized communities.
Seacoast Infrastructure
Hampton residents are experiencing the impacts of climate change, especially with repeated flooding. Republicans oppose efforts to build a sustainable and resilient economy for New Hampshire, including moves to diversify and encourage and support renewable energy. In the House, I will fight for smart energy policies and investments in our infrastructure.
Property Taxes
New Hampshire residents should not be buried in excess property taxes. Republicans continue to push the State’s financial responsibilities down onto towns, while cutting huge tax breaks to wealthy out-of-state corporations. As a consequence of Republicans’ fiscal irresponsibility, the burden of paying for essential services shifts down to towns and into our property tax bills. This hits low-income individuals and retirees especially hard. As your State Representative, I will hold state government accountable and work to keep your property taxes down.
